On the behalf of the European and Mediterranean League against Thrombotic Diseases(MLTD), I have a great pleasure to welcome you in the Highlights of EMLTD in Sharm El-Sheikh-Egypt (January 29-31, 2015). Sharm El-Sheikh has been chosen for the venue of this conference because of its location in Egypt, one of the main countries on the Mediterranean sea. SharmEl-Sheikh sometimes called “city of Peace” is one of the most attractive touristic places all over the world. Hopefully you will enjoy its nice weather and marvelous beaches. 

Our Scientific sessions will combine both clinical and biological aspects of thrombosis which is the main target of EMLTD congresses.

We have planned plenary sessions, symposia and educational sessions on up-to-date topics, all presented by outstanding, distinguished lecturers. In addition, we trust on your willing to send abstracts on original new findings.

Finally, I would to express my thanks and gratitude to Prof. Badimon President of the EMTLD for her great support. The thanks is extended to the Technical Secretariat who organizes this meeting and kept you well informed with the newsletters regard to the preparation of our meeting. 

Last but not least, I hope many of you will attend the congress and enjoy the amenities of Sharm El-Sheikh in the post-congress period.
